If you're celebrating Christmas I hope you have a great one! Because you're reading my blog and celebrating Christmas, you deserve to have the best Christmas possible. Here are 10 suggestions to have a great holiday.
1. Eat something delicious. Even if you're on a diet, today is the day to treat yourself. Plus, most scientist agree the calories don't count on Christmas.
2. Open gifts. Nothing takes you back to childhood bliss like opening gifts.
3. Thank everyone. Even the people who got you something shitty.
4. Pick up your phone and wish someone a Merry Christmas, preferable someone you haven't talked to in a while.
5. Brag about something you received on social media. Don't kid yourself, you like bragging.
6. Sleep. If you woke up early, go to bed early. If you got to sleep in, well your day is off to a great start, isn't it?
7. Reminisce. Don't spend all of your time with family reminiscing, but reminisce for a while while you're with them.
8. Lend a helping hand. If you're cooking then your good deed for the day is done. Otherwise, help serve the food, or pick up the dishes, or clean up some wrapping paper. Whatever you do to help out, it will be appreciated.
9. Tell someone he or she gave the perfect gift. Many people put a lot of thought into their gifting, compliment their gift giving abilities even if you're not the recipient of the gift.
10. Remind everyone that you love them. Let's be honest... relatives get old too. Especially if you don't plan on seeing the relative for a year it's important to depart on a high note.
So have a great Christmas! Enjoy your family and food. And don't forget to show gratitude.
